a self fill for the prompt "echoes of the past, distant calls from before your time, sludgy glitch-y sounds and nostalgia abound." i wanted this to be half vapor-ish sludgy stuff and half trippy, hypnagogic tracks that range from swirling acoustic rock to unsettling ambiance. and i ended up with a mix that was originally about all of the abyssalis sisters, but it ended up steering more towards a warmer sound, which for spoiler reasons, suits lachesis more than the other sisters. i think this came out pretty interesting! i'm happy with it.

In my defence I never said the next prompt post would be up in May 2020? Anyway let's just skip right past the number of years it has been and get back to fanmixes.

For the amnesty round, from the Round Two prompt "Ghosts". The first part is mostly about Lan Wangji's mourning while Wei Wuxian is dead, but I wanted the fanmix to end on a happier note, as canon does for them. "Raise the Dead" is Track 8, and it goes on from there. :D

This is for the Round 4 theme "Alone". It's a fanmix for Jiang Cheng from Modao Zushi/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. I have another fanmix that goes along with this one, for Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian--I was working on both fanmixes together and actually switching songs back and forth between them ~~like golden cores~~ until I found an arrangement I liked. I have to finish up the graphics for the second one, and I'll post it probably in a couple days.

Been meaning to do this - ever since I finished season 1? Falls anywhere along the shippy/not-shippy spectrum that you'd like it to. One of the things I struggle with most wrt this show is how very catholic their witches are, so have a mix that is ... very explicitly not-that, pulling some elements of witch identity from folk horror films and self-defined churches.
